Sodium dithionite-mediated reductive N -acetylation/formylation of nitroarenes employing DMAc/DMF as acetyl/formyl surrogates

The present report discloses a unified strategy for reductive N -acetylation/formylation directly from nitroarenes employing DMAc and DMF as the source of acetyl and formyl groups in the presence of sodium dithionite as the sole reagent.
