Diastereoselective synthesis of cyclopropyl sulfoxides via hydrosulfenation

We report a highly diastereoselective hydrosulfenation of cyclopropenes to synthesize cyclopropyl sulfoxides. Mechanistic studies reveal that exo / endo , facial and side selectivities collectively governed stereocontrol over up to 8 diastereomers.
