Methodological Considerations In The Search For Indicators Of Vulnerability To Severe Psychopathology

Abstract The focus on populations at heightened risk for later psychopathology has become a very popular strategy for identifying possible vulnerability indicators that precede the onset of a disorder. This strategy allows indicators of vulnerability to a disorder to be separated from abnormalities that are either a structural part of the diagnosable symptomatic state or a secondary consequence of this symptomatic state.
