Objective To explore the relationship of college students' mental health with SARS stressors, coping strategies and their mental health, and to provide evidence for mental health edueation after accident. Method Seven hundred and twenty-three college students in Tianjin were investigated with self-designed questionnaires about SARS stressors, coping strategies associated with SARS and Self-rated Health Measurement Scale. Result Coping strategies to SARS stress had directly effects on college students mental health; the stressors from coping strategies with SARS had both directly and indirectly effects on their mental health; both the information stressor and disease stressor of SARS had indirectly effects on their mental health. Conclusion SARS stressor, coping strategies have significant relations to college students'mental health.
