In order to improve the accuracy of multi-station passive time difference of arrival(TDOA) location of ship formations,the problems such as the high precision range-finding and the time synchronization among ship platforms must be solved.This paper studies and analyzes several time synchronization technologies;puts forward an improved two-way time transfer(TWTT) synchronization control technology,which is suitable for ship formation.The time synchronization error among the ship formations can be less than 7.5 ns and the range-finding accuracy can be less than 2.5 m through the simulation experiments.
