Design of Improved Gysel Power Divider/Combiner

In order to design a power divider/combiner with wider band and superior isolation,a novel power divider/combiner based on the improvement of traditional Gysel power divider/ combiner is introduced.The topological structure and design parameters of this novel power divider/combiner have been presented and the operating principle has been analyzed by the odd-even model analysis.Simultaneously,detail comparisons between the two structures have been performed using microwave CAD.The results show that the novel divider/combiner has wider band,better isolation and lower insert loss than Gysel power divider.A C-and power divider/combiner has been designed and the test results show that experiment and expectation are in good agreement.
