The process of discharge variation and clogging are measured when muddy water flows via the thin-wall drip irrigation tape and labyrinth emitter model.The effect level is analyzed of sediment particle diameter, muddy water concentration and the inlet pressure of labyrinth emitter that may affect the clogging of labyrinth emitter.The results show that sediment particle diameter is the primary factor and displays decisive action of the clogging of the emitter,which occurs almost instantaneously.The inlet pressure of emitter definitely affects the clogging.However,the muddy water concentration influences the clogging speed only after the emitter is clogged.
