Enhancing oxygen adsorption capabilities in Li–O2battery cathodes through solid perfluorocarbons

Perfluorocarbons, solid at room temperature, were added at different weight ratios to carbon black-based air electrodes for Li–O₂battery. PFCs-modified air-electrodes showed improved battery performance and were characterized by HRSEM images, nitrogen adsorption (BET), liquid adsorption, a comprehensive wettability study and electrochemical investigation.
