Synthesis of Linseed Oil Alkyd Modified Acrylic Polyurethane Resin and Electron Beam Curing Coatings

Five different structure linseed oil alkyd modified acrylic polyurethanes have been prepared. Various properties of the electron beam cured film are tested, such as adhesion, gloss, flexibility, impact strength, hardness, tensile strength and elongation percentage etc. It has shown that the reaction is mild for preparation of linseed oils alkyd modified acrylic polyurethane; change of the structure of linseed oil alkyd modified acrylic polyurethane will affect the properties of the coatings film; in different curing systems, the effect of absorbed dosage varies; in long oil (linseed oil) system, when the cobalt naphthenate level up to 0 06%, obvious changes of film pro perties will occur.
