The Biopesticide Control of Asian Cornborer in Sweetcorn Fields

In a sweetcorn field experiment, two biopesticides (Bt wettable powder/Bt granule and 1.8% avermectin emulsifiable concentrate) and two chemical pesticides (30% Mielingguang emulsifiable concentrate and 3% isazofos granule) were used to control Asian cornborer(Ostrinia furnacalis)at Spring and Autumn planting seasons. The result showed that the control effect of two biopesticides, Bt and avermectin, reached above 75%. It is very close to the control level of the chemical pesticides.
