Model Study on Head Loss of Tunnel Crossing Yellow River in Middle Route Project for South-to-North Water Diversion

In the middle Route Project(MRP) for South-to-North Water Diversion the water will flow automatically,and water head is very small for every channel.So it is very important for tunnel crossing Yellow River,a critical path in MRP,to estimate its head loss correctly.Based on the undistorted model with scale 1:29.17,the paper studied the relation of λ and Re in the tunnel crossing Yellow River,and conducted the total head loss of the tunnel.Furthermore,it compared the calculation with test results.The conclusion can be referred by the design and verification of MRP.
