The effect of the low-dose recombinant factor VIIa on coagulation parameters of patients undergoing liver transplantation

Objective To analyze retrospectively the effect of the low-dose recombinant factor Ⅶa on coagulation parameters of patients undergoing liver transplantation.Mehtods Thromboelastography parameters(r,k,α,MA and LY60) of 11 patients were recorded 15 minutes before and after the administration of a bolus of 2.4 mg(30～40 μg/kg) recombinant factor Ⅶa during the pre-anhepatic stage.Meanwhile,prothrombin time,activated partial thromboplastin,fibrinogen and platelet count were recorded.Results No significant differences existed in thromboelastography parametes(r,k,α,MA and LY60) before and after the administration of recombinant factor Ⅶa(P0.05).There was a decrease in prothrombin time(P0.05).Conclusion Thromboelastography parameters did not change significantly,but prothrombin time could be shortened after the administration of the low-dose recombinant factor Ⅶa(30～40 μg/kg).
