Powder injection molding of silicon carbide: processing issues

Powder injection molding (PIM) of silicon carbide has been studied in the literature only sparingly since the inception of PIM in the 1930s and improved densification of SiC in the 1970s. The PIM process is reviewed, with particular attention to innovations in PIM SiC that have appeared in the literature.
