Preparation and analysis of rubber/opal nanocomposite

In this paper,a novel nano-anion additives based upon Nenjiang opal shale has been added to a variety of rubbers including natural rubber,rubber particles,and styrene butadiene rubber,the standard rubber,polybutadiene rubber and other rubber.The results for different rubber samples show that the additives can be dispersed evenly in the rubber matrix.The product of the nanocomposite can not only release a large number of anions,but also has a good mechanical properties.In addition,The hardness of rubber is increased significantly.The prepared material is a new functional material which is healthy and environmental.
