Influence of Decaying Exponent on the Properties of BaTiO_3/LaAlO_3 Ferroelectric Superlattice

The transverse Ising model is used to investigate the relations between the thickness period and other parameters, such as polarization, Curie temperature, and dielectric constant of BaTiO3/LaAlO3 (BTO/LAO) superlattice. It was found that the ferroelectric superlattice have a notable size-driven effect on polarization. Decaying exponent has major effect on properties of BaTiO3/LaAlO3 ferroelectric superlattice. When decaying exponent reduces, the polarization and Curie temperature of BaTiO3/ LaAlO3 ferroelectric superlattice increase, but dielectric constant of BaTiO3/LaAlO3 hardly moves. When σ is equal to 2.66, simulation data are close to experimentation value. This result knows that this model is valid for investigating BaTiO3/LaAlO3 ferroelectric superlattice.
