The Prosperity and Decline of Anbu Port in Qing Dynasty

Anbu Port occupied a very important place among the coastal ports of Chaoshan Area in the international trade in Qing Dynasty.Its declines from prosperity is a mirror showing the economic trend from prosperity to decline of the then Chaoshan Area.This paper investigates its reasons on the basis of the historical documents.It argues that the reasons include the geographical advantages and disadvantages,the circulation conditions,and the foreign policies that Qing Government adopted.
