Review:Microspheres for Radioembolization Therapy(In Chinese)

Radioembolization of liver cancer has been proven to be an effective therapy in nuclear medicine.The yttrium-90 glass microspheres has been used to treat both primary and metastatic liver tumors in clinic which shown encouraging re- suits.The preparation,stability,degradation and application for medical pur- pose of radioactive microspheres are reviewed.At first,the theory of radioem- bolization treating cancer is discussed;and then three major radiolabled micro- sphere materials are expounded,viz.glass,resin-based and polymer-based; Future improvements in the preparation and use of radioactive microspheres are prospected at last.
