Binder engineering unlocks stable sulfurized polyacrylonitrile electrodes for Li-ion-sulfur cells with the layered LiNi 1/3 Mn 1/3 Co 1/3 O 2 cathode

An investigation using different binders for the Li|SPAN half-cells with 1 M LiPF 6 in EC/DEC + 5 wt/vol% LiBOB identified PAA as the optimal binder. The fabrication of the SPAN with NMC111 cathode in full-cell showed a improved performance.
