Atomic engineering of trace endogenous Fe within natural clays into a self-supported Fe1–P single-atom cocatalyst for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

The trace endogenous Fe species within natural halloysite nanotubes have been engineered into a single-atom Fe 1 –P cocatalyst with high H 2 evolution activity and stability in both dye-sensitized and semiconductor-based systems.
