摘要
When distinct sources are generated in a region of interest, their location can be mapped with a resolution beyond the diffraction limit. Such distinct sources can be generated during ultrafast imaging of clouds of clinical contrast agents at the appropriate acoustic pressures. This paper describes experiments on the resolution limit, in-vitro localization of microbubbles and the demonstration that ultrafast events are present in-vivo. Mapping distinct events could yield images of vasculature at the micrometer scale.
