15‐3: Cost‐effective Display Driver IC Architecture for First Frame Drop Compensation with Shared Memory Interface

In this paper, a new architecture is proposed to compensate for first frame drop. First frame drop occurs due to the unexpected residual voltage of the previous frame or the influence of TFT hysteresis. Therefore, in order to compensate for the first frame drop, a previous frame data is required, and a frame buffer is required to store it. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the first frame drop with high performance was compensated without an additional frame buffer.
