N- and S-codoped carbon quantum dots for enhancing fluorescence sensing of trace Hg2+

Graphitic N with meta -S in doped CQDs can obtain more electrons and preferable affinity towards Hg which facilitates more charge transferring from N to Hg, thus exhibiting the remarkable sensitivity and selectivity for fluorescence sensing of Hg 2+ .
