Construction of Indole Skeletons by Sequential Actions of Sunlight and Rhodium on α-Aminoacetophenones

Abstract Indole skeletons were constructed from 2-(N-aryl-N-methylamino)acetophenones by the sequential actions of sunlight and a rhodium catalyst. This method presents an example of the direct use of sunlight in organic synthesis.
