In this paper,the affection of batch culture,fed-batch culture and constant feeding culture on S.cerevisiae 4-S cell growth was investigated.The results showed that: fed-batch culture or constant feeding culture(feeding rate 0.133 g·L-1·m-1) was beneficial to Saccharomyces cerevisiae 4-S cell fast growth and could acquire high cell density.The cell concentration of culture medium reached 71.82(DCW) g·L-1 and 82.01(DCW) g·L-1 respectively after 44 h fermentation and,compared to batch culture,was improved by 155.68% and 191.95% separately.Meanwhile,the research of fermentation performance and recycling use in S.cerevisiae 4-S showed that the ethanol concentration of the broth reached 16.23% with high cell concentration of 82.01(DCW) g·L-1 and glucose concentration of 350 g·L-1.Compared to batch fermentation with common cell density 28.01(DCW)g·L-1,the hours for fermentation was shorted by 12hrs and the ethanol concentration produced was improved by 24.4%.Moreover,high density S.cerevisiae 4-S could be effectively reused for four times.
