Determination of Suspended Solids Contents in Oilfield Produced Water

During test of suspended solids contents in oilfield produced water,the poor reproducibility and large error of the test results are caused by long filtration time of sample and large water quantity trapped in the surface of filter membrane before drying.Therefore,the concept of maximum filtration volume of single filter membrane and the determination method of sample filtration volume were put forward.The suitable filter membrane was optimally selected by contrast of performances of microporous membranes from different manufacturers and their filtering rate curves so as to improve the repeatability and accuracy of test results among the different laboratories effectively.
