Discussion on Application of Social Impact Assessment in Environment Protection

This paper explains the importance and current situation of social impact assessment in environment protection,then analyses the problems in social impact assessment.At the end the suggestions of social impact assessment acted in the whole procedure of project,strengthening public participation and professional personnel cultivation,perfecting legislation,developing technique research,are put forward.Specific countermeasures and suggestions are included:first,to strengthen the social impact assessment public participation;second,to implement the social impact assessment throughout the whole project;third,to improve legislation of social impact assessment and perfect the relevant system;fourth,to carry out social impact assessment related technology research;fifth,to strengthen the social impact assessment areas of professional personnel training.
