Algae of freshwater from Jinmen Island in Fujian Province

The present paper has reported the circumstance of phytoplankton except diatoms which was collected from the Jinmen island of Fujian province. There are 50 genera, 155 species,21 varieties and 1 form were found, which belong to 5 phyla. They are Cyanophyta,Pyrrophyta,Euglenophyta,Chlorophyta and Xanthophyta. The number of species of Chlorophyta is the most among them. There are 107 species 16 varieties 1 form belong to it. Scenedesmus pseudohelveticus Kirjakov. and Scenedesum communis Hegew. of Chlorophyta are found in China for the first time.
