Preparation of MnO_2-ZnO-SiO_2 Crystalline Glaze

MnO2-ZnO-SiO2 crystalline glaze was prepared by adding MnO2 into the willemite crystalline glaze.The effects of the batch formula and firing system on the glaze were studied.The results show that a fine reddish brown crystalline glaze with well-grown crystals,each configured in a rodlike shape,but clustering in a fan-shaped pattern in collection,could be obtained when the glaze was doped with 10wt%~15wt% MnO2,melted at 1230℃ for 10min and re-crystallized at 1160°C for 30min.
