Assessing the impact of a plant closure: A case study of the BAe Kingston site closure

The purpose of this article is to examine the problems and possibilities \nfor assessing the impact of plant closures or large scale \nredundancies by focusing on the results of a recent study which \nexamined the impact of the closure of the British Aerospace \n(BAe) site at Kingston upon Thames. \nThe principal purpose of the study was to provide a basis for the \ndevelopment of a more effective range of policy responses to the \nclosure.
