摘要
Solid-state sodium metal batteries are among the most promising next-generation energy storage devices. However, developing competent solid-state electrolytes for these batteries remains a significant challenge. Herein, we introduce a design for a quasi-solid-state polymer electrolyte that enhances sodium metal battery performance. This multicomponent quasi-solid-state polymer electrolyte, designated PH-MSN-HNT, was synthesized by incorporating modified MOF particles and halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) into a PVDF-HFP (PH) polymer matrix. Due to the synergistic effects of these components, PH-MSN-HNT exhibits superior sodium ion conductivity (>10–3 S cm–1) at room temperature, a high Na+ transference number (0.79), and a wide electrochemical stability window (5.16 V). Furthermore, PH-MSN-HNT was used as an electrolyte to assemble sodium metal batteries, which demonstrate efficient sodium dendrite suppression and remarkable cycling performance with 98% capacity retention (108.6 mAh g–1 at 0.1 C) after 100 charge/discharge cycles over 1000 h.
