摘要
Cephalosporins, a diverse group of β-lactam antibiotics, represent a cornerstone in antibacterial therapy. Widely used for their efficacy and broad-spectrum activity, these drugs generally boast a favorable safety profile. However, a nuanced understanding of adverse reactions, particularly anaphylaxis, is imperative for ensuring patient safety. Despite their widespread use, a subset of the population, ranging from 1% to 2%, reports allergy labels against cephalosporins.1 Anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction involving multiple organ systems, is rare but of critical concern.
