Selenium-alloyed V 2 PS 9 Se in 1D van der Waals materials boosts lithium-ion battery anode performance via atomic-level charge modulation and accelerated electron highways along V–S chains, achieving 83% capacity retention after 400 cycles at 1 A g −1 .
