Regulating spin polarization by diatomic doping of a NiFe layered double hydroxide to achieve efficient electrocatalytic water splitting

Synergistic spin-regulation in NiFe-LDH is achieved via spatially isolated Ce and Mn doping. Ce creates high-valent Fe 4+ , while Mn induces high-spin Fe via strain, resulting in a highly active spin-selective channel for superior water splitting.
