OBJECTIVE To compare the dissolution regular pattern of salidroside and tyrosol from the extract and monomer of Rhodiola rosea.METHODS Water,artificial gastric juice,artificial intestinal juice were served as dissolution medium,cannikin method was used to determine the cumulative dissolution capacity and velocity of salidroside and tyrosol from the extract and monomer of Rhodiola rosea.RESULTS The monomers of salidroside and tyrosol were released quickly in water,artificial gastric juice and artificial intestinal juice,the dissolution velocity was larger than them in Rhodiola rosea extract.The dissolution velocity of salidroside in Rhodiola rosea extract was significantly larger than that of tyrosol.CONCLUSION Some attendants such as polysaccharides existed in Rhodiola rosea extract could postpone the dissolution of salidroside and tyrosol.
