ANALYSIS ON THE SITUATION OF ACCIDENTAL INJURY IN DISEASE SURVEILLANCE POINTS SYSTEM (DSPS) OF GUNSU PROVINCE

[Objective]To know the status of accidental injury and the characteristics of accidental deaths in Disease Surveillance Points System(DSPS)of Gansu Province,and to provide scientific evidence for making strategy for prevention and treatment and intervention measures for accidental injury.[Methods]According to the ICD-9,the accidental death cards reported by disease surveillance points were calculated.[Results]The main accidental death rate from high to low in Disease Surveillance Points System(DSPS)of Gansu Province was traffic accidents(14.97/105),suicide(13.17/105),falling(5.03/105),and drowning(2.71/105)and so on.Among traffic accidents,the constituent ratios of accidental injury,suicide,accidental falling,drowning,accidental poisoning and homicide were 33.14%,29.14%,11.14%,6.00%,4.57% and 2.29%,respectively.The main accidental deaths were traffic accident,suicide,accidental falling and drowning,which accounted for 79.42% of all accidental deaths.[Conclusions]We should pay more attention to the above four kinds of accidental deaths.
