Research on the Tests of Acid-fast Ability of Caproic Acid Bacteria

The experiments have been done to understand the effects of organic acid on the acid-fast ability of caproic acid bacteria(CAB).CAB,were separated from high quality pit mud,injected into the functional nutritious liquor,added with acetic acid,lactic acid,butyric acid and caproic acid,and cultured for 72h at 35℃.Afterwards,the live bacteria number were determined.The results indicated that butyric acid and caproic acid can strongly inhibit CAB.The research suggested that the optimized pH value of CAB in pit mud is 5.5～6.5,the excessive content of caproic acid and the excessive accumulation of caproic acid in pit mud should be avoided.(Tran.by YUE Yang)
