On ultra-fine particles in epoxy resin toughening

This paper deals with the effect of NW-2 coupling agent on zinc oxide toughing epoxy resin.By means of SEM and mechanical property tests,the configuration of ultra-fine ZnO was analyzed.And the mechanisms of toughening epoxy resin were discussed.The experiment results show that the ZnO modified by NW-2 coupling agent has good toughening and reinforcing effects on epoxy resin.
