Based on the monitoring results in the coastal area and the annual report on the marine environmental assessment in Quanzhou from 2003 to 2007,the analysis of the quality of the marine environment in Quanzhou and the main causes of pollution was made.The working conditions for the marine environmental protection in recent years were described and he solutions and advices for the environmental protection and pollution control were given.
