The control performance of a propeller propulsion system depends on its rotor thrust control performance. When a rotor thrust controller that includes a constant-thrust-coefficient model is utilized, a rotor thrust response sometimes does not track a rotor thrust command. This study, therefore, uses a rotor thrust controller whose thrust coefficient is a function of airspeed and rotor angular velocity. The validity of the rotor thrust controller is verified by experiments under fluctuating wind.
