Developments of Current Researches on Biomineralization of Calcium Phosphate Regulated by Silk Fibroin

As a natural biomaterial,silk fibroin has outstanding mechanical properties,biocompatibility and biodegradation,which provides an important basis for exploiting this protein for tissue engineering applications.In this paper,biomineralization of calcium phosphate regulated by various forms silk fibroin(solution,film,powder and fiber) was reviewed,the effect of silk fibroin on the morphology and structure of calcium phosphate was analyzed.Thereout,the strategies in biomineralization of calcium phosphate was presumed.
