Research of hyaluronic acid and hydroxyethyl starch in the prevention of postoperative peritoneal adhesion in rats

Objective To observe the effect of hyaluronic acid(HA) and hydroxyethyl starch(HES)on preventing SD rats postoperative adhesion and optimal dose.Methods HA and HES as raw materials were used to preparate the different concentrations of anti-adhesion agent;Selecting 55 SD rats were divided randomly into negative control group(saline),positive control group(HA-Carboxymethyl cellulose),HA group(0.5% HA and 1.0% HA),HA+HES group(1.0% HA+0.03% HES,1.0% HA+0.06% HES,1.0% HA+0.12% HES,1.0% HA+0.24% HES,1.0% HA+0.50% HES);After abdominal operation preparation of rat peritoneal adhesion model were injected into the different concentration of anti-adhesion agents and observed the effects of anti-adhesion agents at 7 d later.Results 1.0% HA+0.50% HES postoperative adhesion area was(0.06±0.10)cm2,adhesion gradeⅠachieved the ideal effect of preventing adhesion.Conclusion 1.0% HA+0.50% HES anti-adhesion agent can obviously prevent the formation of postoperative adhesion.
