Bioelectronics and nanotechnologies

Abstract A brief overview is given on different definitions and topics related with bioelectronics and nanotechnologies. Reference is given to different aspects of bioelectronics as they were presented for the first time at the Congress “Biosensors 96” in Bangkok. Conceptional similarities and differences between man-made and biological nanostructures are mentioned briefly with particular emphasis on natural and artificial senses and the example of bio-electronic noses.
