Radiographic Evolution of Presumed Septic Pulmonary Emboli

A 41-year-old woman with a history of opioid use disorder presented with shortness of breath, chest pain, and fever. A chest radiograph showed peripheral, nodular airspace opacities. The patient left the hospital but later returned with worsening symptoms, and chest radiographic findings were suggestive of septic pulmonary emboli.
