摘要
Non-stoichiometric LaMnO 3 exhibit attractive magnetic properties and finds various applications. The present work is focused on the magnetic properties of the undoped and Bi-doped LaMnO 3 . The excess content of oxygen generation during the synthesis leads to the self-doping effect in the sample. The material was synthesized through the conventional solid-state method, and XRD confirms the orthorhombic phase with space group pnma. It shows ferromagnetic (FM) order, and TC decreases with Bi content. The positive C-W temperature further confirms FM. The bifurcation in ZFC-FC introduces the glassy behavior of the material. The excess oxygen in LaMnO 3 generates Mn 4+ ions and that leads to the reason for FM.
