The effects of tapping system and coagulation processes on the properties of natural rubber such as Mooney viscosities of raw rubber, the vulcanizing characterizations of compounds and mechanical properties of vulcanizates were investigated in this paper. The results indicate that the natural rubber from low stimulant intensity, high tapping frequency and acetylic acid coagulation process shows a high Mooney viscosity, good vulcanizing characterization and mechanical properties. For the biologically coagulated rubber, good vulcanizing characterization appears on those from the low stimulant intensity and tapping frequency, and the high Mooney viscosity and good mechanical properties appear on those from low tapping frequency and low stimulant intensity, respectively. The effects of coagulation processes on Mooney viscosities of raw rubber, the vulcanizing characterizations of compounds and mechanical properties of vulcanizates are even more significant. The rubber from biological coagulation process shows high Mooney viscosity, short optimum vulcanizing time, low storage modulus(E’),high glass transition temperature and good mechanical properties for vulcanizate.
