The wear resistance and wear mechanism of advanced ceramic materials ZYW35(3Y-PSZ+(W,Ti) C) and ZYA30(3Y-PSZ+Al2O3)were studied using a MM-200 wear tester. The results showed that the friction coefficients of ZYA30 and ZYW35 decreased and the wear ratios increased with increasing applied load. The wear mechanisms of the two materials are plastic deformation and adhesive wear at lower applied loads, and plastic deformation and delamination peeling wear at higher loads. The wear performance of ZYA30 is better than that of ZYW35 in the same wear condition.
