Nowadays, the attention of researchers about titanium dioxide (TiO[Formula: see text] nanomaterials has increased due to their bactericidal, nontoxic, safe, cost-effective, stable, noncarcinogenic and industrial applications. This study aims to fabricate the electrospun branched PVDF/TiO 2 nanofiber webs with tiny diameters and evaluate their performance in food fresh-keeping. The surface morphology, infrared spectroscopy, antibacterial properties and air permeability of the electrospun nanofiber web have been tested. Our results showed that the branched PVDF/TiO 2 nanofibers with a diameter of less than 4[Formula: see text]nm can be electrospun smoothly. Furthermore, these webs have exhibited great potential in preserving the core of bananas fresh owing to their antibacterial properties, nonpoisonous, edible, edible and breathability.
