Synthesis, structure and electrochemical properties of a new cation ordered layered Li–Ni–Mg–Mo oxide

Disordered rocksalt Li 1.2 Ni 0.4 Ti 0.4 O 2 is transformed into a new cation ordered layered phase Li 1.2 Ni 0.4 Mo 0.2 Mg 0.2 O 2 through a dual cation substitution strategy.
