Effect of branching in the alkyl chain of diglycolamide on the sequestration of tetravalent actinides: solvent extraction and theoretical studies

The n -butyl DGA derivative has optimum balance of lipophilicity and hydrophilicity for extracted species, and hence enhanced extraction efficiency compared to other close branched/linear derivatives in the present molecular solvent system.
