Chapter 1 (Cardiovascular Surgery) of the European guidelines on peri-operative venous thromboembolism prophylaxis: first update1 was co-published by the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) in the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (EJA) and by the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) in the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EJCTS). The Cardiovascular Surgery chapter, published in the European Journal of Anaesthesiology, attributed the copyright to the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care rather than acknowledging the joint ownership of the copyright. The correct copyright line for the Cardiovascular Surgery chapter reads as follows: Copyright © 2024 European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. This article has been co-published with agreement in the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, and European Journal of Anaesthesiology published by Wolters Kluwer on behalf of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.
